Water Meter Remote Reader Wiring

If you have water meter located in a place that is difficult to read such as a basement tenant apartment or underground meter pit a wired remote allows easy meter reading without actually being at the meter.

Recommended cable is a 3 conductor 24 gauge stranded wire with shielding. There are four wires coloured red yellow green and blue and four terminals in the reader labelled 1 2 3 and 4. During some renovation work the wire from my water meter to the remote reader has become disconnected.
